Clinical Team Lead - Diabetes

As the Lead nurse for Diabetes, you will provide and manage the Diabetes specialist nursing team for Portsmouth City offering specialist knowledge, support, advice and education in relation specifically to Diabetes and Diabetes nursing. You will work primarily with health care professionals but also to those living with Diabetes and their carers', where appropriate.
You will be responsible for the nursing staff within the Diabetes specialist nursing team including recruitment, appraisal, continuing professional development and human resources.
The job role requirements include;
Highly developed specialist knowledge under pinned by theory and experience
Post registration to master's level or equivalent experience
Experience of clinical leadership and experience of line management
Experience of knowledge of clinical practice in associated clinical specialist
Excellent communication skills written and verbal, able to communicate for clinical purpose, negotiation, leadership, and influence which may include highly sensitive, contentious information, with barriers to understanding
